IT meeting Business, or other way around?:

As we all know, while mobile usage is projected to be doubled in next 2-4 years, IT is going to be constantly challenged by almost all lines of businesses, if IT can't align with Business it is an overhead. Many IT organizations have several tools in their possession and hardly 50% are utilized in operation mode, and again, mostly those are not streamlined, or in other words not so much of service oriented. The maturity assessment for applications or services organizations helps IT leaders and managers to assess the key indicators of the overall maturity of the organization, and thereby aligning IT with Business.

Coming straight to the point, and as we have seen or heard one way or other such norms of wise IT, I would like to leave this thread by expressing my observation and thought in following graph, of course, one of several key point of views, in this one thou, APM is in the core like other ITSM processes and by all means, while I have come across several good APM/ITSM tools, CA APM as one of the leading ITSM tools, by far in its service assurance portfolio has shown the readiness to embrace that maturity model IT needs, and has made APM one of core competent processes.

Once again, for a Service Management maturity, enterprises cannot take on all aspects of a service management framework overnight or start implementing by book. It is important that enterprises understand the level of service management, the types of services and applications they are providing along a scale of non-critical to front-line services. One of the key processes in streamlining ITSM is to establish proper management of infrastructure & applications rendered for business service(s).

Of course, this is just a beginning, to me.
